A SERIES of attempted break ins to homes, garages and vehicles in Fernhill Heath has prompted police to increase patrols in a bid to offer reassurance to residents.
During the attempted break ins, three people were seen dressed in dark clothing and wearing face coverings attempting to burgle homes, garages, vehicles and private gardens by trying door handles.
The spate of attempted burglaries in the early hours of this morning (Thursday) mean Fernhill Heath will receive an increased policing presence from patrol officers outside of neighbourhood policing hours.
Police Community Support Officers (PCSO) Elliot and Mawby have been conducting house to house enquiries to provide reassurance to residents affected and help investigation leader, PC Burgess with the case.
The force emphasised the importance of home security and urged residents to report any suspicious activity via the West Mercia Police website.
