PICTURES of the famous Flying Scotsman steam locomotive have been flying in on social media after the iconic piece of rail history journeyed through Droitwich today (Wednesday, December 13).
The locomotive, which is celebrating its centenary this year, has been completing its Worcester Christmas Express journey from Cambridge to Worcester and back on behalf of the Railway Touring Company.
The sold out train passed through Droitwich at roughly 11.30am, after a fleeting visit through Barnt Green (11.14am), and Bromsgrove (11.18am).
It’s final destination was at Worcester Shrub Hill station for a four-hour stay before making its way back through Worcestershire towards Cambridge.
