A DROITWICH care home’s annual family Christmas meal was hailed a ‘success’ with residents, friends and family all getting together for an evening of festive cheer.

Special guests and visitors were greeted with pink prosecco before sitting down for a Christmas meal cooked by Dorset House’s catering staff.

Home manager Karen, administrator Jill, and quality assurance officer Tracy played gracious hosts, serving drinks as guests were serenaded by the melodies of Johnny the Singer.

Dorset House was honoured to host councillor Kate Fellows, the Mayor of Droitwich. Mayor Fellows opened the event with a delightful speech, underscoring the importance of community, thanks, and the spirit of the season.

The dining areas were transformed with blue, red and gold decorations, curated to compliment the dining room interior. The ambiance was described as ‘enchanting’.

Staff at the care home were commended for their hard work in ensuring the evening was a success, with every detail covered.

A visitng family member said: “Many thanks for a really superb lunch. It was great fun.

“The food was exceptional, and mass catering is not easy, but everything was well presented with many little extra touches.

“All the staff worked very hard to ensure we were well looked after, and they seemed to be having fun too.”

Dorset House now eagerly anticipates next year’s Christmas meal, which they hope will bring a sense of community and joy to residents and their families.
