Droitwich Repair Cafe gets new lease of life

Droitwich Editorial 21st Apr, 2024   0

BD MAKERSPACE – Droitwich’s Repair Cafe – has a new home after changes were made to the booking system at the venue it used.

The repair cafe returns to its original home at The Old Library Centre on Ombersley Street East.

When it found out BD Makerspace was under threat, the Droitwich CVS stepped in to help save the monthly session.

The Repair Cafe was set up in 2017 to help people get their items fixed for free so they can save money, reuse, repair, recycle and keep items out of landfill.

Founder Simon Britton said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to Droitwich CVS for stepping in – they have been a great help.”

The repair cafe takes place on the last Saturday of each month with the next one at the Old Library next Saturday, April 27.

Visit bdmakerspace.org.uk or email [email protected] for more information on the repair cafe or how to support it.
