DROITWICH’S Dorset House opened its doors to the local community last Friday as part of Care Home Open Week.
The Care Home Open Day featured a variety of activities, including complimentary refreshments, live entertainment and guided tours of the home.
Friends, families, and community members gathered for a delightful afternoon tea and a live music performance by singer Ian James.
Bosses said the atmosphere was vibrant and there was plenty of singing, laughter and cheers echoing through the beautiful gardens.
The weather was perfect, adding to the enjoyment of the event. Dorset House’s chef, Karen, impressed everyone with her talents by making an array of homemade cakes, which were a hit among all attendees.
The event was an opportunity for the home, owned by Rotherwood Healthcare, to showcase its residential and nursing care services.
Care Home Open Week is a national scheme by Championing Social Care aimed at dispelling misconceptions about care homes and showcasing their enriching experiences.
A Dorset House spokesperson said it was committed to delivering exceptional care and enhancing the lives of its residents.
