Bluebird Care Worcester and Wychavon celebrates 10 years of supplying services

THE TEAM of a local home care provider is celebrating ten years of keeping the local community safe and well at home, writes Lily Bedford.

Bluebird Care Worcester and Wychavon was established in 2014 by David Benjamin.

He said he had made it his mission to help people remain in the homes they loved for as long as possible as they got older or became unwell.

Now, the home care provider is marking a decade at the heart of the community.

During this time, Bluebird Care has supported more than 1,000 local people aged between 30 and 112.

This has amounted to more than 400,000 hours of care in total.

Proudly marking their tenth year of being part of the Bluebird Care Worcester and Wychavon alongside David are the other members of the so-called ‘Fantastic Five’ team.

Among them are registered manager Andy Toon, lead supervisor, Melanie Fenton, lead co-ordinator, Michaela Phillps and care expert, Natasha Perry.

The Bluebird team has also been built up over those ten years, with the ages of the employees themselves ranging from 18 to 83.

They have also all been proudly supporting people by offering care at home for a decade.

Director Mr Benjamin said everyone was immensely proud to be marking the marvellous milestone.

“I founded Bluebird Care Worcester and Wychavon because I saw that people simply didn’t have enough choice when it came to local care options and wanting to remain at home.

“It’s amazing to reflect back on all we have achieved since then, and the number of customers and families we’ve worked with to tailor our care to their specific circumstances.”
