DROITWICH Spa have confirmed the departures of club stalwarts Connor Collins and Scott Braiden-Smith ahead of the start of the 2024/25 season.
Prolific striker Collins scored 117 goals in just 139 appearances for the club while defender Braiden-Smith managed five goals in 98 appearances for Spa.
Collins joined the Saltmen in 2019, after spells with Fairfield Villa, Bromsgrove Sporting and Lye Town.
However, he has been forced to retire from football due to a persistent injury.
Braiden-Smith has also hung up his boots and both players received awards of recognition from the club for their service, awarded to them by former Premier League striker Dean Holdsworth.
Long-serving midfielder Luke Molloy has also left the club after deciding to take a step back from the game due to work commitments.
The versatile midfielder scored 30 goals in 138 appearances for the club.
Gavin Podmore, James Halsall, Joe Heywood, Roland Krol, Jamie Lucas and Max Loveridge have all departed the club after all six players struggled with injury last season.
The club have also lost Archie Woodall who has returned to America while James Deeprose has also left Spa.
Droitwich begin the season at Newent Town on Saturday, August 3 with kick-off at 3pm at Wildsmith Meadow.
