Neighbourhood police tackle estate blighted by anti-social behaviour

Droitwich Editorial 8th Aug, 2024 Updated: 8th Aug, 2024   0

A SWATHE of anti-social behaviour in the Bays Meadow area of Droitwich has prompted a clamp down from neighbourhood policing teams.

Late night fires, loud music, large amounts of scrap being fly-tipped and other residential issues have neighbours concerned and frustrated.

Droitwich officers teamed up with Platform Housing and Environmental Health officers on Wednesday (August 7) to investigate the reports.

During the day of action, scrap was cleared away, residents were engaged with, and one moped was seized and impounded for displaying false registration plates.

Police Sergeant Cathy Atkinson of Droitwich SNT said: “We were pleased to work with our community partners to tackle these ASB issues in the Bays Meadow area that have affected residents’ quality of life.

“Further follow ups will take place in the coming weeks to ensure certain tasks are completed otherwise enforcement may occur.

“This multi-agency approach has allowed all involved to have their input with residents to resolve issues and for follow up actions to be conducted if needs be.”
