New survey designed to help improve Wychavon's parks launches

Droitwich Editorial 12th Aug, 2024   0

A SPECIAL survey launched by Wychavon will give residents and visitors a voice in improving the region’s award-wining parks.

Wychavon’s parks team is eager to find out what people love about their local parks or green spaces, how often they use them and if there is anything stopping them from using them.

People can also have their say on suggested future improvements such as creating volunteer groups, more wildlife areas, sensory planting or more natural play features. There will also be the opportunity for people to put forward their own ideas.

Feedback will be used when developing the teams plans for the future maintenance and development of the district’s parks.

Councillor Beverley Hardman, executive board member for boosting natural capital on Wychavon District Council, said: “We’re proud of our parks and green spaces and understand how important they are to our residents.

“That’s why we’re always looking for ways to invest in and improve them. Please take ten minutes of your time to tell us what you think and help us make our parks and green spaces even better places to spend time and play in.”

Wychavon looks after 90 parks and green spaces including the main parks in each of the district’s three towns, all of which are multiple Green Flag Award winners indicating they are high quality spaces.

Visit www.wychavon.gov.uk/parks-survey to take the survey. The deadline is midnight on Monday, 2 September.
