LUCAS Edmonds scored a first-half brace as Droitwich Spa cruised to a 5-1 win against Cheltenham Saracens in the second round of the Marsh Challenge Cup.
Edmonds’ goals put Spa in command before Josh Hurdman, Nathan Binner and substitute Perry Moss all struck at the King George Playing Fields.
A brace from Edmonds and further strike from Hurdman saw Spa score three goals in the space of 19 minutes in the first half to take a two-goal advantage into the break.
And Binner then extended the home side’s lead on the hour mark to all but seal Spa’s place in the next round.
Substitute Moss completed the scoring late on as Andy Crowther’s side cruised to a comfortable victory.
Droitwich are next in action against Ludlow Town on Saturday, October 12 with kick-off at 3pm at the King George Playing Fields.
