A DROITWICH estate agents’ community fund has exceeded £77,000 in donations to charities and organisations in Worcestershire.

Nicol & Co’s fund has now raised a whopping £77,000 for different causes across the county.

The estate agents, with offices in Droitwich, Worcester and Malvern, began the scheme in 2021 where for every property it sells, it donates £100 to the seller’s choice of school, charity or local community organisation.

The scheme raised £12,000 in its first year alone, leading to the establishment of the Nicol & Co. Community Fund.

Hayley Knight, marketing manager of Nicol & Co., said: “We are immensely proud of the support we have been able to give to so many Worcestershire organisations since the launch of the Nicol & Co. Community Fund.

“And a big thank you to all our clients who have put their faith in us in 2024 to sell their houses.

“Every time we add £100 to The Community Fund, it is our way of thanking our clients for their trust and also putting something significant back into the community where we all work and live.”

Of the £77,000 raised, £22,000 has gone to St Richards Hospice, with over £6,000 donated this year alone.

Ria Simons, corporate fundraising lead at St Richard’s, said: “We are hugely grateful to Nicol & Co. for their generosity, and to the sellers who selected St Richard’s as their charity of choice.

“The money helps us continue to provide care for patients with incurable illnesses, their loved ones and bereaved people in Worcestershire. “

Other major beneficiaries of the Nicol & Co. Community Fund include Acorns Childrens Hospice, The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, foodbanks in Worcester, Malvern and Droitwich and homeless shelters, animal shelters, emergency services and more across Worcestershire.

Nicol & Co. managing director Matt Nicol said: “Our purpose in business is to help people buy and sell homes, but we are rooted in our community, and we will always seek to make a difference wherever we can.

“The Community Fund is just one way in which we work with our clients and the local community to support local organisations that desperately need our help.”

As well as sellers’ nominations, some vendors leave the choice to Nicol & Co. Email [email protected] to nominate an organisation.
