RESIDENTS across Wychavon district, along with those in the rest of Worcestershire will be heading to the polls on Thursday, May 1.
There will be 57 Worcestershire County Council seats contested across 53 divisions, including 12 in Wychavon District.
Polls will be open from 7am to 10pm when all the ballot boxes across Droitwich, Evesham and Pershore and the rest of the county will be collected.
The count will be held at Pershore Leisure Centre from 10am on Friday, May 2, and we at the Standard will be there to bring you all the results live.
The current make-up of Worcestershire County Council – as determined by the 2021 vote and any subsequent by-elections – is 45 Conservative, 3 Labour, 4 Liberal Democrat and 5 others.,
Here are the candidates for Droitwich.
Standing in Bowbrook is Seb James (Conservative), Peter Jewell (Reform UK), Margaret Rowley (Liberal Democrat), Stephen Squires (Green Party) and Mike Stafford (Labour).
There are five candidates contesting Droitwich East – Louis Allaway (Labour), Daniel Birch (Conservative), Christopher Edmondson (Reform UK), Nicola Morris (Green Party) and Owen Ralph (Liberal Democrat).
In Droitwich West is Roy Harmsworth (Liberal Democrat), Doug Hincks (Green Party), Dom Mitchell (Reform UK), Richard Morris (Conservative) and Gill Rawlings (Labour).
And contesting the seats in Ombersley will be David Chamberlain (Green Party), Sachin Mathur (Labour), Tony Miller (Conservative), Michael Stuart-Joy (Liberal Democrat) and Gary Thompson (Reform UK).
