THE TEMPORARY exhibition at Droitwich’s Heritage and Information Centre attracted more than 350 visitors.

Droitwich in War featured personal letters, photographs and local artefacts – all which told a story of resilience, sacrifice and everyday life during extraordinary times.
The display was part of the VE Day 80 celebrations in Droitwich which took place last Thursday and the exhibition is on until tomorrow.

Heritage manager Rebecca Butler said: “The events and the exhibition were all well-attended by the local community.
“Curating this exhibition wasn’t just about assembling objects, it was about connecting with people.
“The exhibition would not have been possible without the help of David Davidson and Peter Kennedy whose own research and personal memories have really bought the stories to life.
“It’s on days like this that remind me how important it is to keep history alive – not just through facts, but through connection and community.
“We would like to say a huge thank you to the people of Droitwich Spa for attending the celebrations.”
