A DROITWICH opticians is renewing its call for foodbank donations as part of an ongoing commitment to supporting local community scheme.
The team at the locally owned and run Specsavers store, located in the Salters Shopping Centre, is encouraging customers and members of the public to contribute to a growing collection of food items destined for Droitwich Spa Foodbank.
A donation point remains in place in-store, where visitors can drop off essential long-life food items to support individuals and families facing hardship.
“Supporting the local community is something we care deeply about,’ said Emma Singh, store director at Specsavers Droitwich.
“The cost-of-living crisis continues to put pressure on many households, and foodbanks are seeing increased demand.”
“With the generosity we’ve seen from Droitwich residents in previous appeals, we hope even more people will get involved and donate what they can.”
Droitwich Spa Foodbank is currently in need of the following items: tinned meat and fish, tinned fruit, custard, tinned potatoes, pasta sauce, long-life milk, fruit juice, biscuits, cereal, and jam.
Donations can be brought to Specsavers at Unit 10, St Andrew’s Square, Droitwich, WR9 8HE.
