DROITWICH Spa pushed Kidderminster Harriers all the way as the Saltmen suffered a narrow 1-0 home defeat against their higher division opponents.
Spa play three levels below Harriers who ply their trade in the National League North.
The game’s only goal came on nine minutes as Dan Mooney rifled home in front of more than 650 spectators at the King George Playing Fields.
And the friendly was Spa’s first at home ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.
Spa began pre-season with a thrilling 3-3 draw against Studley.
Andy Crowther’s side then recorded victories against Alcester Town and Smethwick Rangers respectively.
Droitwich are next in action against Bewdley Town on Saturday, July 19 with kick-off at 3pm at Ribbesford Meadows.
