Man dies after colliding with car whilst cycling on A38 in Droitwich

A MAN in his 30s has died after colliding with a vehicle whilst riding his bike on the A38 in Droitwich on Sunday (July 27).

At around 5am a white and blue Dacia Duster travelling towards Droitwich collided with a cyclist on the A38.

The cyclist, a man in his 30s, died at the scene. A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in police custody.

Sergeant Darryn Van-Rooyen, from West Mercia Police’s roads team, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family following this morning’s collision.

“We’re currently carrying out a number of enquiries and are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have seen either the bicycle or the car beforehand.”
