A MOTORCYCLIST – a man in his 60s – has died after a crash in Droitwich.
The collision, which involved a Triumph Tiger motorbike and a BMW X3, happened around 3.20pm yesterday (Sunday) on the roundabout on the A38 Ombersley Way.
Two ambulances, three paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma team and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the incident.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said crews arrived to find the motorcyclist, a man, in a critical condition being given CPR by police officers.
“The team quickly took over resuscitation efforts and commenced advanced life support.”
Sadly, despite the emergency services’ best efforts, the man could not be saved, and he was confirmed dead at the scene a short time later.
The spokesperson added: “Our thoughts are with the patient’s family and friends at this very sad time.”
West Mercia Police are investigating the incident and have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information or dash cam footage of the crash – or the vehicles in the lead up to it – to email PC Lauryn Elliott at [email protected] or call police on 101.
