A NOT often seen play will be performed by Rubery Drama Group after a chance discovery.
Kay Morris from the group was sorting through her late husband Dave’s library of scripts and found ‘Murder in Rehearsal’ by local playwright Angela Lanyon.
She realised that, although they had seen it performed by the Hanbury Players as its first production in the early 2000s – Dave must have intended to direct it with Rubery Drama Group but never got around to it.
And, whilst arranging for the licence to stage the play, the group is thrilled to find out Angela Lanyon still lives locally and hopes to attend one of the shows.
In the interval of this traditional whodunit, the audience will be invited to guess who they think the murderer is.
Murder in Rehearsal runs from Thursday to Saturday, October 23 to 25.
