A YELLOW weather warning for heavy rain has been issued for Droitwich and Worcester as Storm Benjamin moves in to batter the county.
According to the Met Office – which has issued the advice – the heavy rain is due to start around 8pm tonight (Wednesday) and continue until 5am tomorrow (Thursday) before becoming lighter.
Forecasters say there is a 90 per cent chance of heavy rain which could cause disruption to travel and homes.
So what could happen?

The rain could lead to spray and flooding on roads, leading to difficult driving conditions, increasing the chance of crashes and making journey times longer.
Likewise, public transport could be hit hard by the deluge with journey times taking longer.
And, the Met Office says, there is a risk of flooding to homes and businesses.
The weather warning is in place until 6pm, although the rain is predicted to ease around mid-morning.
