GAUDET Luce Golf Club has been shortlisted for the club of the year award at the 2026 England Golf Awards.
The award recognises clubs for community impact, inclusive growth and innovative player development.
The club’s ‘swing into golf’ programme has introduced more than 250 new golfers to the sport in the space of just seven months.
Designed to remove barriers and make the sport accessible to complete beginners, the programme offers a friendly, jargon‑free, three‑level structure.
Participants begin with a free four-week Level One introduction before progression to Level Two (technique) and Level Three (on-course play).
The clear pathway of the programme bridges the gap between the driving range and independent play, helping newcomers build confidence and skills.
More than 55 participants have already advanced to Level Three.
The club also appointed a dedicated golf participation and events manager, ensuring every new player receives ongoing support and a seamless introduction to club life.
Gaudet Luce’s open‑door policy allows non‑members to practice or play while short‑game areas remain free to use.
The Par Three course at the club also hosts disc golf and footgolf.
A ‘SafeGolf’ accredited club, Gaudet Luce have added family-friendly activities to the club’s calendar including a ladies fashion show and Halloween night.
The club hope to launch Level Four of the ‘swing into golf’ programme in March while continuing to invest in their facilities.
The England Golf awards take place at Manchester Deansgate on Tuesday, March 3.
