Detectives are working through a number of enquiries following the incidents, which happened overnight on Tuesday (April 21) and keeping an open mind as to whether the burglaries are linked.

Police were called to Church Road in Crowle around 3.50am after a report a property had been broken into and an occupant was assaulted.

The suspects demanded car keys for a Volkswagen Golf R in blue which was then stolen from the drive.

A third burglary was reported at a property on Broughton Green, Hanbury, during which the suspects broke through a glass door and stole a wallet, watch and a mobile phone.

“Officers will be out in the areas where the incidents took place to carry out enquiries, including gathering witness statements and conducting CCTV checks.

“We would like to see any CCTV, ring doorbell or dashcam footage which may show vehicles in the area in the early hours of this morning, particularly the blue Golf which was stolen from Church Road in Crowle.

“Please get in contact if you have any information which could help.”

“There will be an engagement van at Crowle Parish Hall tomorrow (Wednesday) between 2pm and 3pm for residents to speak to officers, who will also be offering crime prevention advice and materials.”
