THIS SUMMER marks the tenth anniversary of Thomas Land at Drayton Manor Park and to celebrate the momentous milestone, it will be hosting a number of celebratory events.

The multi-million pound attraction is one of only three in the World and has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors from afar afield as Australia and Japan.

The venue is packed with rides, based on Thomas and Friends characters, including Thomas himself, Jeremy Jet’s Flying Academy,

Harold’s Helicopter Tours, Troublesome Trucks Runaway Coaster, Terence’s Driving School and many more.

There is also the newly refurbished Emily’s Play Adventure which offers everyone the chance to continue the fun indoors if the unusally good British weather this year takes a turn.

Since its original launch, a further £2.5million has been invested into new rides – Blue Mountain Engines pulled into the station for the first time in 2011, Winston’s Whistle-Stop Tours arrived in 2013, Captain’s Sea Adventure, Flynn’s Fire Rescue and Toby’s Tram Express were introduced in 2015.

And one year ago, Thomas Land also welcomed the highly anticipated James and the Red Balloon on Saturday 1 st April 2017.

In addition, VIP rooms have also been added to Thomas Land in Sodor Airport, providing a great space for birthday celebrations and an ideal location for visitors to overlook all the rides and attractions in the magical Island of Sodor.

For those wanting to extend their day out, the theme park took the Thomas & Friends immersive experience one step further in 2012 when it opened the onsite four-star Drayton Manor Hotel, giving families wishing to turn their trip into an overnight or weekend break the option of staying in one of the 15 incredible Thomas & Friends themed rooms.

During their stay each child also has the opportunity to have breakfast

with their favourite Thomas Land characters and receives a complimentary goodie bag.

William Bryan, Managing Director of Drayton Manor Park, said: “My grandparents established Drayton Manor to provide a space for our guests to create happy memories together, and introducing the much-loved Thomas Land attraction has helped us to provide families with even more opportunities to do so.

‘’Thomas Land holds a special place in my family’s hearts as it has been an instrumental part of our journey and we have continued to grow from strength to strength as one of the UK’s most popular family days out.

‘’For more than 65 years, through second and third Bryan family generations, it has been our mission to help create fun family memories and it has been a pleasure to witness the young and the young-at-heart enjoy their day out at the park.

“With its own 70-year heritage, Thomas & Friends echoes my family’s values as a brand that has stood the test of time for multiple generations and will continue to resonate with families in the future.’’

Also brand new for the 2018 season is the sensational 4D movie experience, Ice Age – No Time For Nuts, which is guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained come rain or shine.

Not forgetting a whole host of thrill rides and the 15-acre zoo, home to some incredible species of animals from all across the globe.
