Northern Soul in abundance at Droitwich's Chateau Impney tomorrow

Droitwich Editorial 11th Mar, 2016 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016

A NIGHT of Northern Soul celebrating the second anniversary of the regular event held at the Chateau Impney Hotel will take place tomorrow (Saturday).

The event, which attracts hundreds of Northern Soul fans from all over the country, will run from 9pm on Saturday until 6am Sunday.

Organiser Pam Jones, who has been on the Northern Soul scene for many years, said they tried to organise events at the Chateau at least four times a year, attracting crowds from far and wide.

Throughout the 1960s the Chateau hosted events, parties and festivals and The Imp Cellar Night Club, in the basement of the hotel, is believed to have been one of the first discos in the Midlands.

DJs will be playing exclusively vinyl all night and the first 200 guests will receive a free commemorative anniversary patch.

Tickets cost £10 from ticketsource.co.uk or phone Pam 07976 351377
