Driver taken to hospital after bus fire in Ombersley

A DRIVER whose bus caught fire on a slip road in Ombersley has been taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.

The 60-year-old was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital after he sprung into action to tackle the blaze which occurred this afternoon (Wednesday) on the A449 slip road.

At around 1.04pm, crews from Droitwich and Worcester used hoses of water and foam to extinguish the fire.

Three people were treated by paramedics at the scene.
