AS SCHOOLS celebrate the end of term, Worcestershire’s Youth Cabinet came together to celebrate their achievements at the end of another year.

An event was held in the council chamber at County Hall last week to celebrate all the voluntary group have been doing for young people across Worcestershire.

Members from across the districts, Lily, Luca, Connor and Charlotte had the opportunity to tell some of the county’s local councillors including WCC leader Simon Geraghty what they had been up to for the past year, and how they feel things can improve across the county before they move on to new opportunities.

Coun Simon Geraghty, leader of Worcestershire County Council, said: “It was a real honour to speak to some of our Youth Cabinet and find out their plans for summer and beyond, as well as all they have achieved through another school year.

“Like many organisations, over the last few years, the Youth Cabinet haven’t had the opportunity to meet in person, and had to work together online and their continued work was impressive.

“The Youth Cabinet are a real voice for young people in Worcestershire, it is groups like these that help us to improve the county’s outlook for young people, and it is great to hear all they have achieved and all they hope to go on and achieve.”
