A SECOND cow has got into difficulty in as many days in the canal at Alvechurch.
The bovine was in trouble in the shallow waters in the Worcester and Birmingham Canal yesterday (Tuesday) leading to another rescue involving the fire service and the canal society.
There was a happy ending and no animal or human was hurt in the incident.
But Tony Brannan from the Worcester-Birmingham & Droitwich Canals Society, said: “Unfortunately there is no fencing along this part of the canal and it’s really easy for an animal to fall in.”
