SPA residents of all ages, ‘from grannies to grandchildren’ went along to the the painting of this year’s St Richard’s Mural.
Droitwich Arts Network (DAN) organised the event alongside the students from Westacre Middle School who spent the day at St Andrew’s Shopping Centre putting ‘paint to paper’.
The 14ft high and 64ft wide piece will be suspended behind Malvern Tyres the Middlewich canal basin, at the ‘Railway Tavern’ at Vines Park on Tuesday (April 19) after the team spent all Thursday varnishing and aligning the mural.
Peter Hawkins, Chair of Droitwich Arts Network, said: “It was a fantastic day. We had the best results so far I think.
“We had such a great turnout. To have got all the panels done was not a small feat.
“We completed two panels in record time so we all think it was a great success.
“The teacher who led the teams was there from start to finish with so many other members of staff and so many different people from grannys to grandchildren.”
