The Great Safari Bake-Off, Starring Mrs Claus

Droitwich Editorial 9th Nov, 2017   0

West Midland Safari Park have enlisted a special guest for Christmas this year, in the form of Mrs Claus!

The lovely lady has had her own custom-built kitchen made for her to bake some wonderfully tasty treats; warm chocolate chip cookies, mince pies and hot chocolate will all be on the menu and included in the Santa Safari admission price. She will also be assisted by the Park’s very own group of elves, who will be welcoming guests and ensuring they enjoy their exclusive experience.

Centred around a ‘gingerbread house’ theme, Mrs Claus has been lucky enough to have her kitchen specially designed by one of the talented artists at the Park, complete with illustrations of cheeky elves, candy canes and mistletoe. Festive treats will be served by Mrs Claus herself, atop beautifully hand-made kitchen furniture.

Mrs Claus said, “I am so excited to get to work in my brand new kitchen that the lovely staff at West Midland Safari Park have worked so hard on – it is fit for Nigella herself! I can’t wait to get baking and for people to come along and taste my delicious mince pies and warm chocolate cookies.”

She continued, “Of course I will have lots of elves on hand to help me too. It’s going to be so much fun. The cookies are Santa’s favourite!”

Not to be outdone, Santa will have his own fantastic grotto, where guests can be magically transported to the North Pole and pay a visit to the merry man himself. Children will be able to have a memento of their day by taking home a picture of themselves with Santa and a visit to the Elves’ Workshop, where they’ll be able to choose their very own present.

The Park’s elves have also been busy extremely getting everything ready for the festive season, transforming the Discovery Trail into a Winter Wonderland and planting over 350 Christmas trees, complete with a sprinkling of over 1,500 kg of ‘snow’.

They have also been perfecting their secret ‘Elf Wave’, which all of the elves have been eagerly practising ready to show any guests that are cheeky enough to ask them!

To ensure the Santa Safari experience is maximised, there will be a Santa Checklist for children to tick off each activity they participate in or see, including a trip to the festive Sea Lion Show and a visit to the Elf Craft Club in the brand new Safari Academy.
