BROMSGROVE Sporting have arranged a number of pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2020/21 season but unfortunately, owing to Government regulations, they will have to be played behind closed doors.
However, with COVID19 restrictions changing regularly, the club will announce any updates as and when they happen.
It will not be possible to stream matches but plans are being made to put highlights on to the club’s social media.
Sporting will visit Studley on Tuesday, August 11 (6.45pm) before travelling to Walsall Wood on Thursday, August 20 (7.45pm), Highgate United on Tuesday, August 25 (7.45pm) and Leicester Road on Saturday, August 29 (3pm).
A visit to Sutton Coldfield Town is next on Monday, August 31 (3pm) before home fixtures against Leamington on Saturday, September 5 (3pm) and Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday, September 12 (3pm).
Plans at present are for Southern Premier Central matches to start on Saturday, September 19 and, of course, the divisional line-up will be the same following no promotions or relegations last season.
The FA Cup will also start in September with Sporting opening their campaign in the first qualifying round on Tuesday, September 22, although the draw has not yet been made.
The first match in next season’s FA Trophy is due to be at the third qualifying round stage on Saturday, October 31.
All dates are subject to change and no announcement has yet been made as to whether drawn matches will be replayed.
Meanwhile, Sporting have taken supplies of their own face mask, which is now available along with other Sporting goods in the club shop.
