In one, at 10.10pm on March 15, two men were seen in fields in Hanbury with lamps and the sound of a shotgun was heard.

Prior to that – about 9pm on March 16 – two men in a white car were spotted by a gamekeeper in Elmbridge.

The vehicle had been seen previously in the same area.

And The Standard reported earlier this month how suspected poachers were seen on a farm in Dunhampstead about 10.45pm on March 7.
