MORE THAN 125 jobs will be created in Droitwich next month when Amazon Logistics launches a brand new delivery station in Hampton Lovett.

The town will become the nexus from where county-wide deliveries will take place, and will see the recruitment of 15 staff to its brand new station.

Meanwhile, Amazon will work with ten, mostly local, independent delivery companies who will employ an additional 125 drivers to distribute parcels across Worcestershire seven days a week.

UK director for Amazon Logistics Jamie Stephenson said: “Amazon Logistics adds capacity and flexibility to Amazon’s delivery network, enabling us to meet the delivery needs of customers.

“Amazon Logistics is also helping independent local delivery companies to grow their businesses by providing state of the art technology to deliver Amazon orders.”
