Droitwich Editorial 15th May, 2024   0

A PROMINENT dignitary has helped mark the official opening of a new Droitwich nursery which will bring  jobs to the town.

The new Happy Days nursery on Woodland Way, Droitwich was opened by the town council’s mayor, councillor Kate Fellows.

A total of 16 new job roles will be accessible for Droitwich residents thanks to the business’s opening.

Happy Days operates a ‘Where Children Shine’ curriculum, which is aligned with the seven education programmes defined in the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and the Curriculum for Wales.

The nursery is one of 24 in the Happy Days nurseries chain, which operates across the Midlands, South West and Wales, providing day care for children from three months to five years old.

It was founded in 1991 with a nursery in Newquay and is actively seeking opportunities to expand – either through acquisition or building new. It has created 54 new jobs in nursery sites launched during 2023.

So far this year, it has appointed 18 new recruits and a further 22 vacancies are set to be created by further growth of these new sites.
