20-year-old man suffers leg injury after being hit by a car in Droitwich

A 20-YEAR-OLD man suffered a leg injury after being hit by a car in Droitwich.

At 6.15pm on Saturday (February 4), a black Ford Fiesta collided with the man, who is from Droitwich, on Ombersley Street West, near the junction with Westcroft Street.

The car then left the scene in the direction of Ombersley Road.

Detective Sergeant Ryan Townsend said: “We’re currently keeping an open mind about this incident and this is why we are keen to speak to anyone who has information.

“Fortunately, the man’s injuries are not too serious but it could have been a lot worse so I would encourage anyone who witnessed the incident or has any other information to contact us as a matter of urgency.”
