DROITWICH Police have expressed concerns that too many motorists are risking their cars being stolen when the temperatures drop.
Yesterday morning (Thursday) when the mercury was below freezing point, officers were out and about speaking to drivers.
Every year West Mercia Police warn motorists about the risk of leaving their vehicles unattended with their engines running to clear windscreens and warm them up.
It makes then easier to steal and often in that situation, insurance companies will refuse to.pay out.
Officers spoke to 27 drivers in Droitwich yesterday who were at risk of having their cars or vans taken.
And police are hoping motorists will finally get the message and stay with their cars while they defrost.
