A COUNTY company will move 77 jobs from Droitwich to Worcester as it prepares to move into a new £13.2million unit in the Faithful City.

Kimal, which supplies products for the healthcare sector, has its new headquarters at Worcester Six and will take up residence there next month.

All 77 employees will make the transition and Kimal has confirmed it will also retain its two other centres in Bromsgrove and Uxbridge, where a further 250 staff are located.

Kimal chairman Alan Press said: “This 140,000 sq ft. is actually our seventh logistics site in Worcestershire having outgrown the previous six over the last 28 years and is a testament to the continued success of the Kimal team.

“We cannot wait to be in occupation.”

Worcestershire County Council’s Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Economy and Infrastructure, Coun Ken Pollock, said: “It’s great to see this hugely successful Worcestershire company expand into this ideally located business park.

“We are seeing more local firms expanding than ever before and new businesses making the move to Worcestershire, both helping to keep our economy thriving”.
