Could 90-year-old Droitwich DJ Reggie become your resident act?

FOLLOWING the success of DJ Reggie’s tea dance at the old Droitwich Library on Monday, the jolly 90-year-old is calling out for a regular spot to host a few hours of music and dance to the elderly.

Reggie played all the classics as residents took to the dance floor.

The happy music lover’s memory loss advisor Carolyn Pym said everyone had a very good time and Reggie would love to host more tea dances on a regular basis.

She said: “We know many elderly people would love to attend Reggie’s dance sessions.

“He’s so inspiring, he had everyone up line-dancing on Monday. So if there is anyone out there who can volunteer some space for a few hours once or twice a week, then please get in touch – Reggie would be over-joyed because he loves to make other people happy.”

She added: “Saj, who is Reggie’s taxi driver, didn’t even charge for the lift and carried all his equipment for him.

“Everyone has been so kind.”

If you would like to provide DJ Reggie with a regular spot for a few hours of music and dance, then please contact Carolyn Pym on [email protected] or 0734 156 9152.
