PUPILS from Chawson First School dressed as book characters and parents were invited in for a BiG read with their children.
The activities were held to mark World Book Day, a celebration of literature and authors.
Later in the day the classes performed poems they had been learning as part of a focus group.
Year one teacher Julie Thornton said: “The children were so excited to be dressed in their costumes and spend time with their adults reading.”
