A PLAY project at a play area in Tibberton will receive a £9,539.30 cash boost.
The scheme will take place at Hawthorn Rise and is part of more than £145,000 funding handed out by Wychavon District Council.
Councillors on Wychavon’s Executive Board agreed the funding boost at a meeting last week.
The money is being given to deliver a range of projects following recommendations from Wychavon’s Localism and Community Funding Advisory Panel.
More than £76,000 of Section 106 funds, cash given by developers as part of planning agreements, was awarded to projects across the district.
Coun Bradley Thomas, Wychavon District Council leader, said: “I am delighted this money has been approved as it will make a significant difference to a number of community projects across Wychavon.
“As a council we are committed to investing in our towns and villages and this funding will create or enhance areas which are much-loved and well-used by residents.”
