Acorns get cheque from Droiwich Rotary president

THE PRESIDENT of the Rotary Club of Droitwich Spa John Bodger has presented a cheque for £750 to Mandy Fitzgerald from the Acorns Children’s Hospice at the latest meeting.

A total of £500 was donated from the Rotary Christmas Sleigh collection and £250 came from a raffle held after the Advent Service in Hampton Lovett, organized by Lord Morton.

The Acorn’s Hospice provides care for very sick, and terminally ill children and their families, and have their main care home for the Three Counties in Worcester.

The charity not only supports the children but also the whole family.




The hospice in Worcester was opened in March 2005 and has ten bedrooms, two family care suites, two family flats with lounge area and large gardens.

The care team offer holistic care to each individual child that includes both support for their health needs and social and recreational activities.
