A TOP Indian chef and restaurant owner is ready to welcome you to the Vasaanti after arriving in Droitwich Spa.
Akbar Miah, also known as Aki, has taken over the High Street restaurant from his brother who has moved on for a new challenge.
And, with 17 years experience of running the popular India Spice in Bromsgrove, Aki is hoping Spa residents, as well as his previous customers, will be heading down to give his mouthwatering meals a go.
He said: “We have introduced a new menu – keeping some of the favourites which were loved by Vasaanti customers and bring in some new dishes which people may have not tried before.”
As well as new dishes, there are also some new special offers which are guaranteed to whet the appetites of hungry diners.
The early bird deals see customers able to get poppadoms, a starter, a main course and a naan bread for just £12.95 between 5.30pm and 7pm Monday to Thursday and just £13.95 on Friday and Saturday.
Whether you fancy a curry or balti with family, friends or work colleagues, Aki and his team are ready to welcome you.
And with the festive season upon us, people are urged to book early for those all-important Christmas parties and get-togethers.
Aki said: “Although we have only been here a short while, we are already getting some great feedback from the people of Droitwich and those who have visited us from further afield.
“We’re hoping more will come down and give us a try.”
On taking over, Aki needed to be re-rated by the local authorities and customers will be pleased to hear he maintained the five-star food hygiene grading held by the restaurant.
