A YOUNG Droitwich entrepreneur has been recognised by a prestigious awards scheme.

Alamin Miah (pictured) from the Vasaanti, took part in the International Bangladeshi Masterchef (IBM) competition where the scheme’s representatives visited him in the restaurant and assessed his social media content.

Following that, Alamin received the IBM Young Entrepreneur Award 2025 in recognition of his hard work, leadership and passion for excellence.

On the day of the awards, Alamin was well-supported by family and friends, including his uncle Shale Ahmed who is a local community champion and Shaz Rahman came all the way from Cannock on a chilly Monday night to celebrate Alamin’s success with him.

Vasaanti owner Aki Miah said he was proud of his son’s achievements.

“We extend our sincere thanks to our community for your ongoing support, which plays a significant role in our success.

“We look forward to continuing this journey with you.”

Alamin, who recently completed an HR Management masters degree at Aston University, runs the family business’ marketing and PR and is tasked with finding ways for the business and its reputation to improve.

He thanked the community and customers for their support over several years and said: “I was delighted to receive the award for something I enjoy doing on a daily basis.”
