WOODLAND View Care Home welcomed special guests including Alison Hammond to a Macmillan Coffee morning on September 24.

Other guests included Droitwich Mayor Coun George Duffy and the Carnival Queen, which helped the care home raise over £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support UK.

Residents, staff and guests enjoyed a cuppa, cake and chat with Alison Hammond during the morning to raise funds for a charity close to their hearts.

And Alison loved it so much she joked she’s ‘moving to Droitwich’ to live with the residents, adding the area was ‘beautiful’.

She added: “Quite a few members of my family have been affected by cancer, and Macmillan has always been there for them so it was a pleasure to be here”.

Woodland View home manager Cindy Hawkins said: “Our Macmillan Coffee Morning was a raging success.

“Our staff and residents are so grateful to Alison and the Droitwich community for coming out to support us.”
