Animal-loving Droitwich youngster sought to open town's new Pets at Home store

AN ANIMAL-loving youngster is being sought by Pets at Home to officially open its new store on the Droitwich Spa Retail Park.

The shop will be launched on March 24 and the company wants residents to nominate a caring and responsible young pet owner to play the crucial role.

The lucky chosen person will win £100 worth of vouchers to celebrate the launch of a new pet store.

Pets at Home bosses want to recognise a young pet owner who has shown a level of responsibility beyond their years, taking on essential duties involved in pet care, or one who has formed a special bond with their pet.

As well as opening the store and receiving the £100 worth of vouchers, the winner will also be invited to participate in an exclusive workshop at the store along with their entire school class.

The group will get to see close up and hold some of the resident small animals as well as learn about the welfare needs of different animals.

Store manager, Jack Constable, said: “Owning a pet is often the first responsibility many children get to enjoy.

“We are really looking forward hearing the great examples of responsible pet ownership from young people in the local area and celebrating the next generation of pet owners.”

To nominate a young pet owner, email [email protected] with details of why they are deserving of the title, plus their school and contact details with ‘Droitwich’ in the subject before next Friday (March 10).
