Armed police called to Droitwich's Westlands estate after reports of man with a firearm

POLICE were called out to an incident in Droitwich on Saturday (July 18) after reports of a man carrying a firearm.

It happened at 2pm on the Westlands estate, near the Fox and Goose pub in Farmer’s Way.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “Armed officers were deployed as a precaution to the scene, a search of the area has concluded that there is no risk to the public.

“There is no further police action required.”
