A VARIETY of local artists and groups will be performing in Droitwich’s St Andrews Square Shopping Centre on July 12 as part of Our Big Gig.
The national event which has been striving to become England’s largest community music festival will take place less than a week after the curtain comes down on the Droitwich Spa Festival.
The town’s festival, which delighted residents and visitors with a host of events and activities, started last Friday (June 20) and will go on until next Sunday (July 6).
John Dudley, the main organiser, said: “I hope people will not be partied-out and come along to support this national event and the local artists appearing.
“It will be good to see Droitwich Spa featured in this national celebration.”
As well as celebrating local music and showcasing new and existing talent, Our Big Gig is also aimed at giving people the opportunity to have a go at making music.
