POLICE are investigating an attempted theft of garden equipment in Cutnall Green.

It happened at 5pm yesterday in School Road where the thieves tried to take a high value hedge trimmer from the driveway of a property whilst the owners were close by.

They were unable to load it into the car they were in – a grey 57 plate Vauxhall Vectra.

The owner of the property had managed to smash the rear window of the vehicle as the offenders have left the area and the hedge trimmer was left at the scene.

The car is believed to have had five people in it – both men and women.

Witnesses or anyone who comes across the grey Vauxhall Vectra with the broken back window should call Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
