Baking and making day to be held at Hobbycraft in Droitwich this Saturday

A BAKING and making day at Hobbycraft in Droitwich tomorrow will raise funds for Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Between 11am and 3pm, visitors can tuck into some tea and tasty treats while crafting together.

All funds raised will support the local Acorns for the Three Counties, which the store is supporting through Hobbycraft’s national charity partner Together for Short Lives.

So far £650,000 has been raised by Hobbycraft colleagues nationwide and customers to support local children’s hospices around the UK.

Acorn’s Children’s Hospice encourages children to participate in arts and crafts by providing them with a safe place for children to get creative.

Malcolm Davis, store manager of the Droitwich branch, said: “Do join us for a cuppa, some delicious cake and some crafting fun, whilst raising money for a really worthwhile cause.”

Katherine Scott, Together for Short Lives’ corporate partnerships manager, added: “Art, craft and play is an important part of what children’s hospices do and the money raised will directly benefit children, young people and families that rely on their local children’s hospice service.”

Visit www.togetherforshortlives.org.uk/craft-tea for more information on how to plan a Craft-tea party.
