THE QUEEN’S 90th birthday will be celebrated in style in Droitwich when the Sunday Band Concert takes place at the Lido Park.

The celebrations, between 2.30pm and 4.30pm this Sunday, will feature the Bedworth Brass Band who will perform their music in the park’s beautiful surroundings.

The deputy mayor of Droitwich Spa Coun Shaun Best will be on hand to meet and greet all those go along to the event, which has been organised by Droitwich Town Council and is supported by the town’s Older People’s Forum, and by Rev Nigel Byard from St Andrew’s Church.

The Youth Council will also be there to offer a waiter service for those buying refreshments from the Lido Park Cafe.

It is hoped there will be glorious summer sunshine befitting of the special royal occasion.

A full programme of Sunday band concerts kicked off on May 15 and will run until September 4.
