A BEETLE drive and raffle are being held next Friday, December 7, as part of the campaign to repair the leaking roof at Droitwich’s Norbury Theatre.
The ‘Raise the Roof’ campaign was launched back in September to raise £15,000 and so far well over £5,000 has been collected.
The Beetle Drive starts at 7pm and tickets, which include a drink and nibbles, are £7 for adults and £3 for children.
Tickets for the event and raffle can be bought from the theatre and among the prizes are gym membership, meal vouchers, afternoon tea, champagne, wine and more.
The roof which needs repairing is the one above the back stage area.
It was initially patched up by volunteers but after a harsh winter last year it now needs a complete new roof.
The Norbury Theatre has been running for 55 years, during which time thousands of people have trod the boards, including comedian, comedy actor and writer Rik Mayall.
Anyone who can help with the funding or wanting to find out more about the Beetle Drive should call the theatre on 01905 770154.
