Changes to bin collection days over festive season

WYCHAVON District Council has announced changes to waste and recycling collections over the Christmas and New Year period.

Across December 26 and 31, the day residents’ bins are usually collected has been moved to the following day.

For example, if your bin will be collected on Monday, December 26, it will be moved to Tuesday, December 27 and so on.

Residents have been urged to make sure bins are out by 7am as collection times may be different from usual.

From January 2, collections will be carried out as normal.

To accommodate for the extra waste caused over the Christmas period, the council is also allowing two extra sacks of rubbish next to their black bin between Tuesday, December 27 to Friday, January 6 2023.

Residents can also put out as much recycling as they want as long as it is in clear sacks.

Clear sacks can be collected from Droitwich Library.
